Our Story
Swiss 8 was born in 2019 at the height of the Veteran Suicide Royal Commission debate.
Government doesn't understand the problem.
RSL is asleep at the wheel.
A new perspective needed.
Swiss 8 was founded by a team of Afghanistan war veterans. Men who had lost too many mates to suicide.
We did the research, We developed a solution, We built the product, And we have successfully taught over 2000 veterans how to find new purpose and rebuild their identity in life after service.
Now, we are building NinGula Homestead in Monkerai, a home for Swiss 8 and a purpsoe built retreat facility for veterans.

What is A BBQ to Remember?
It's our high-octane push to unite Aussies around backyard BBQs. Our Veterans, like much of the Aussie legacy, are being forgotten. Aussie farmers squeezed off their land, aussie butchers out muscled big big corporations, the government promising change but never delivering.

What is the raffle for?
The raffle's tied straight to the BBQ to Remember campaign, finishing Nov 11 at 11. It's about reclaiming the good days: Nostalgia for backyard barbies with real mates, local butcher meat, no screens. We've gone off course—cost of living crunch hitting hard, groceries up while quality drops. Veterans have been completely forgotten (3 decades, 1700+ suicides, zero change from 20 investigations), farmers and butchers squeezed by foreign corps and big chains—generationally owned farms vanishing.
The raffle funds Swiss 8 free tools (basics like Move/Heal/Breathe to shift from stuck/isolated to strong/connected), Monkerai vet retreats and supports grassroots heroes.
Prizes? Top grass-fed, Aussie farmer-owned meat—health wins like omega-3s for better energy/gut, fighting the junk in modern diets.
Every ticket ($10+) hits our $100k goal—awareness for Swiss 8 relaunch, hype for Monkerai hub.

Swiss 8 (DGR1 Health Promtoion Charity)—To fund retreats, free mental health and wellbeing tools for veterans.
Current project focus is the Swiss 8 retreat location being built in Monkerai NSW. A purspoe built facility for multidiscplinary veteran care.
